Widely considered a classic picture of the Pacific War, this image shows Enterprise and other ships in her screen in action during the Battle of Santa Cruz, 26 October 1942. One bomb is exploding off the her stern, while two enemy dive bombers are visible directly above the carrier and towards the center of the image.
