Enterprise CV-6 departs Pearl Harbor, 4 August 1944. For five days, Enterprise operated off the Hawaiian Islands, conducting gunnery exercises, qualifying landings for her new Air Group 20, and drills for both ship and Air Group in making and repelling air attacks.
